Archax adds CREST Depositary Interest Service to TA/Custody Platform

Provides more streamlined access to London’s capital base for overseas issuers

London, 15 June 2026 – Archax, the FCA regulated exchange, broker and custodian, has today announced the expansion of its Custody and Transfer Agent (TA) offering to include a Depository Interest (DI) solution for securities issuers. This builds on the TA service it has been providing to asset managers for funds, with the addition of an equity share registry solution – delivered in partnership with Avenir Registrars.

A DI allows the securities of an overseas company to be traded on a UK venue and settled within the Euroclear UK & International (EUI) Centralised Securities Depositary (CSD), CREST, so enabling overseas issuers to tap directly into the UK capital market. Prospective overseas users of the London Stock Exchange Group’s (LSEG’s) innovative PISCES private market regulatory framework also stand to benefit from this innovation, as it offers a streamlined and cost-effective solution, ensuring their securities are correctly configured for admission.

Graham Rodford, CEO and co-founder of Archax, commented: “The Depositary Interest market in the UK is massively underserved, with only around 100 companies globally currently using this route into London’s capital markets. And that’s basically because the setup can be burdensome. With London being such a capital rich market, that’s clearly a substantial barrier to entry. By partnering with Avenir Registrars, we’ve been able to couple our regulated custodian capability with their registry expertise, to deliver a streamlined solution and address what we see as a growing DI market need.”

Developed on Avenir Registrars’ industry-leading framework, this service will be delivered by Archax, with administrative support provided by Avenir Registrars. The collaboration highlights Avenir Registrars’ expertise and flexibility in delivering robust registry solutions, which allow partners to leverage their advanced framework and operational know-how to enhance service offerings, with the flexibility for future 'build, operate, and transfer' models as required.

Hardeep Tamana, Managing Director of Avenir Registrars, added: “This deal takes the very best of what both parties already offer; with Avenir Registrars providing the framework and resourcing to sponsor Archax’s delivery of a DI offering. With many companies globally seeking a Depositary Interest solution and given the low level of market penetration right now, not only is the demand there, but it also enables us to make a meaningful contribution when it comes to reinvigorating London as a global capital market of choice.”

As the regulated entity, Archax is responsible for the provision of these services to clients. For further details, visit www.archax-registrars.com.
