Businesses promoting crypto products and services in the UK must adhere to strict guidelines. There are three main routes for promoting cryptoassets to consumers in line with the financial promotion regime:

Promotion by an FCA-authorised person

The promotion must be made directly by an FCA-authorised individual or firm

Promotion approved by an FCA-authorised person

If an unauthorised person makes the promotion, it must be approved by an FCA-authorised firm

Promotion by a crypto business registered with the FCA under the Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds Regulations 2017 (MLRs)

Registered crypto businesses may promote their products if they comply with the MLRs
